E-flite Blade nano CPX
Type: Micro Collective pitch
Problem: Tail wag Solution: On forums, users say problem is solved when flying in IU (Idle Up) mode, in which throttle is always at 100%; thus set throttle in Normal mode to 100% and vary pitch Tail wag solution = high head speed Normal Mode - Programmed Curves (On Spektrum DX6i) Throttle: 0%, 75%, 100%, 100%, 100% Pitch: 50%, 62.5%, 75%, 87.5%, 100% (straight line from 50% to 100%) Hold: 10%, 10%, 10%, 10%, 10% (recommended in E-flite manual) |

Issues
Feels like there should be more power
Left servo connector on main board is broken
- Good: Use E-flite 150mAh 45C batteries = now power is equivalent to stock setup
- Good: Gear mesh might be too tight - test gear spacing using piece of paper
- Good: Added weight of ESC hurts performance - Done direct soldering ESC to main board to decrease wire weight (saved 0.6g)
- Advice: Notchy main bearings can really rob power - upgrade later, not the issue right now b/c stock motor setup was fine
- ToDo: Use 3A ESC (0.7g); 10A ESC is about 4.0g
Left servo connector on main board is broken
- Servo connector broke off main board after many crashes (attempting inverted flight, but 10A ESC makes heli too heavy)
- Found video from MegasMicros.com on how to repair the servo connector! I had to solder jumper wires for GND and Power because the pads on the main board ripped off when I was taking the connector off so I could clean the pads.
- *** It seems that when I fly 3 batteries back to back, the servos more erratically -> and problem does not go away - I have to re-solder the servo connector on main board and then the servo works normally
- ToDo: Flying 2 batteries, then 15 min rest, then flying again seems to be fine.
